Versa Bar Continuous Cast Iron Is an Ideal Metal for Molds
Cast iron is often used in the manufacture of molds for a wide range of products and parts. Not all cast iron is created equally, however.
Versa-Bar cast iron offers several notable advantages over traditional sand-cast and ingot cast iron. Due to its uniform metallic structure, Versa-Bar is much easier and more cost-effective to machine than sand cast iron. Our continuous cast iron process, which solidifies the iron at a more uniform rate, results in a far more durable iron. What may surprise you even more, though, is that Versa-Bar actually costs less than sand cast or ingot cast iron.
